Meet the Composer

Isha Asabe is a film composer, orchestrator, and conductor celebrated for her innovative fusion of Indian classical music with the grandeur of Hollywood orchestration. Raised between Mumbai and Los Angeles, she brings a unique cross-cultural perspective to every project—seamlessly blending lush symphonic writing with contemporary electronic elements to create evocative, emotionally rich soundscapes.

Her musical journey began as a guitarist, igniting a passion for harmony, performance, and storytelling that continues to shape her voice today. Trained in both Hindustani classical traditions and Western orchestration, Isha’s scores reflect a deep respect for cultural roots while embracing the boldness of modern cinematic language.

She earned her Bachelor of Music in Composition: Film Scoring and Visual Media from the Musicians Institute (2025) in Hollywood and will soon continue her studies at the prestigious USC Thornton School of Music (2026), pursuing a Master’s in Screen Scoring. At MI, she conducted and arranged for string quartets, chamber ensembles, and jazz groups, and performed live at venues like Ovation Hollywood. Her work spans genres including R&B, jazz, bossa nova, and rock.

From award-winning animated shorts to original rescores and live performances, Isha’s music reflects a masterful interplay of tradition and innovation. Whether in the studio or on stage, she is committed to crafting powerful musical narratives that resonate across cultures and connect deeply with audiences worldwide.
